Actually now you mention it, yes I did, but not on my phone. I was in my work laptop, but not logged into my Google account at the time, not that not being logged in makes any difference, both systems clearly know what I've been doing on the other.

After reading about yet another french strike affecting air traffic, I decided to do a little bit of research into alternative ways of getting home if we get stranded there.

My sister's satnav is the same. It sometimes assumes she is going to a certain place as she went there at the same time last week. Spooky.

I've not been around today, so I'm just watching our local news now @noisette47 . Wonder if it'll be mentioned on there.
Mind you - they're too busy reporting on the squabbling about the current First Minister and the break up of the pact with the Greens. Jeez....

Isn't that the norm for Scotland now? Doesn't the SNP want to break up with everyone? Including most of their fellow Scots?

I have no faith in any of them @Clueless 1 v2 , but the main problem was the idea that it would all be rosy in the time frame they decided on. Utter billhooks.
It's a pity the current run of Breaking the News [Radio Scotland] has finished [it's a bit like Have I Got News For You] They'd have gone to town on this week's stuff.

@Clueless 1 v2 Consider instead the west coast of France. We get almost as much sun as the Côte d'Azur (we are the Côte de Lumière) and the Atlantic means you can wear out your teenagers with surfing and so on. Much easier motorways and good trains if you get let down by flights.

We're already booked to go to Bordeaux, and it's only a weekend city break.

Bordeaux is not the coast!! It's on a river. Loads of scope for fun on the Atlantic coast from the Vendée, further south in Charente-Maritime and then down as far as Biarritz.

Instead of heading south along with half of France and many other nationalities, I'm suggesting you head west for your summer hols. Easier to get to, easier to get out of, probably cheaper and loads more fun if you're into activities.
