Morning everyone, haven't posted for awhile, have been feeling rather down.
We had a lovely sunny day yesterday, but today is a typical Bank Holiday Monday as its absolutely hammering down.
Beautiful photos @redstar thank you for sharing.
Have a good day everyone, what ever you do.

Good morning @Star gaze Lily. The weather won't be helping your mood either. I think I have got used to rubbish weather having had enough rain to be considered for the Guinness book of World Records. Speaking of which, I saw the gigantic baguette - all 140.5m of it - on TV this morning, now entered in the Guinness World Record Book. Such fun! :hapydancsmil:

          Morning @Ladybird4
Can't believe how much rain we've had this year. Bad weather doesn't usually affect me, but at the moment it's not helping with the way I'm feeling. Still absolutely pouring. It's not doing some plants any good either. The shrubs and roses seem to be loving the rain though.

It has certainly been a great deal wetter than I have ever experienced before @Star gaze Lily. Right, its now time to get a wiggle on and get into the greenhouse. See you all later.

                Hi all

                Yes, a beautiful day here.
Have a good B/H everyone, we won't be leaving the garden, the Peak District will be heaving today, mainly with inconsiderate drivers, and people who think parking on both sides of narrow lanes is ok.

                  Morning all.

                  Sunny here in South Norfolk.

I have beds to make and tidying to do before Son 2 and family arrive on Wednesday. I'll do the shopping tomorrow.

Is there a garden visiting thread on this forum? I have some photos of the garden we visited yesterday.

Good morning all. It's cloudy although I've put some washing out... I may regret it.
I've caught up with all your news- condolences to @steephill and @Badly_Maintained and @Star gaze Lily, I hope the sun shines on you and makes you feel better very soon.
I've pottered about doing various tasks in the garden (when not rained upon), planted a couple of things and moved a garden bench to a sunnier(!) spot on the patio. OH is carrying on with his project on turning an old wooden ladder into an arbour type thing. At the moment it looks like a climbing frame for our cats to play on! He'll pop into the office later this morning to pick up his drill where he thinks he's left it to fix some screws in place. The construction(for want of a better word) will need painting and I already have a climbing rose and honeysuckle which I'll place either side. That's the plan, anyway!
I will take a walk along the canal later this morning, once we've been to Aldi.
On Friday I bought a pack of marigolds from Tesco to go with my tomatoes- yesterday I counted how many individual plants there were- I counted 21! We had a voucher so the plants cost next to nothing. I love a bargain.
It's our village duck race this afternoon. A few years ago the dog found a stray duck in the stream, left from a race, took it home in his mouth and it's been sitting by the pond in our garden ever since, Yesterday he took it upon himself to chew and play with it- it looks a sorry sight now... maybe time for a new one.
Later, there will be dancing around the Maypole by some local children. I hope it doesn't rain.
Well, enjoy your Bank Holiday, whatever you have planned.

Morning everyone, dull and overcast here too. We went to Beaulieu on Saturday, a GW spring fair, as it's a new event we got cheap tickets, but hadn't realised it was the BH weekend when we booked. Traffic going was quite bad but at least the return was easier.
Going to risk getting the late spuds in on the plots if the rain holds off. I have peas and beans in root trainers in GH waiting to go out. Direct sown Broad beans just rotted off.
                              Have a good day all.
