ID needed!

    Hi all. Mini forest of these growing in one of the veg beds. Before I clear them, thought I'd best check they're not somethng worth keeping! They're about 40cm tall. Ignore the purple flowers - they're stray aquilegias!

    It's in the veg bed, you didn't plant it so therefore a weed remove to compost heap.

    That looks like poached egg plant (Limnanthes douglasii), very good for the pollinators. I sowed some last year and they have self seeded and just started flowering.

    Thanks Escarpment - I DID plant it then, as green manure, which as NigelJ notes, should now be on the compost heap. Thanks both!
