Whats your weather like May 2024

Hazy sun, 18c going to high 20s. Nice in the shade especially if there is a breeze.

 

Sunny 13c now by the time we have a cuppa and break from gardening jobs about 1ish it should be around 20c and I believe they got it right the weather people today Hoorah !

 

It's time to cast those clouts !

 

Good morning all ,sun and cloud with a high of 19c ,ideal for gardening but it will have to wait ,heading down to Yorkshire to see my mum.

What an amazing sunset yesterday! An unusual cloud formation and stunning colour.
Another hot day on the way, high wind cloud but still, warm and sunny.

 

A glorious day here in North Wales, full sun is forecast all day too.
Temp said to be around 16 but feeling like 23. I think I agree with the 23 part

 

Sunny and warm enough to have coffee and cake on the terrace with a friend who needed respite from her OH who has a gouty knee and is laid up on the sofa and won't take his meds!

@Michael Hewett The may blossom has been out here for a few weeks but clearly didn't take into account those northerly winds so today is only my second day outside in short sleeves.

 

I have empathy as I have one with a gouty toe/foot when he has a few too many beers!

 

@Victoria this chap has tried for a long time to manage his gout without meds as he doesn't like taking pills. I told my friend about OH who manages his tendency to gout with a daily pill.

Her OH is resisting but finally started taking half the dose prescribed by his GP and then went out to garden yesterday. Today his knee is swollen and painful and she's given up on tea and sympathy as it's self-inflicted and utterly avoidable. He's one of those that learns things the hard way.

 

I whole heartedly agree!

 

It is 28c now and Ben the Gardener is coming this afternoon to massacre the Myoporo and I want the top of the Melaleuca removed to give more space to my precious Callistemon. Also to cut back the Poincettia. I will put pictures up in An Algarve Garden later.

 

Can't complain, and the beans certainly aren't - some well over 50cm (18")!

 

I take one allopurinol tablet a day to stop gout, not sure I need it but not noticed any side effects.
My thermometer says 24c and it feels like it as well.
