@Plantminded, I must confess this one was a very goodly size in a large pot ... and every strand was green as green with no buff coloured ones in sight. Even so, at that price, my resistance genes kicked in.

Didn’t purchase this today but it did get delivered today! An Acer Griseum! Very excited to get this in the ground :) I need to do a bit of shuffling around of stuff first though!

Yeah, it’s lovely. Hopefully it settles in quickly and starts to grow

Bought a tray of bog-standard busy lizzies from the SM yesterday. Not had any of those for years but they looked so pretty .....:dbgrtmb:

@latimer please can you say where you got that Acer griseum? It looks a good quality plant. I used to have griseum in last garden - lovely tree, slow but shapely.
I also have failed on self control like others... IMG_20240512_083540439_HDR.jpg
A visit to Farmyard nurseries resulted in these - tulip sprengeri, polygonatum verticillatum roseum, a good bletilla, iris Langport Wren, pot of rhodohypoxis, asarina procumbens, unlabelled anemone nemorosa variety with free invading large violet type, and lychnis molten lava.
Oh and 2 really black petunias!
Maybe the Acer will have to be delayed...:rolleyespink:

Yes @ViewAhead a shamefully large set
However it was £60 total so not bad. And I did manage to resist some lovely plants of hosta seiboldii types at £9...
Hosta Diamond Lake had the most amazing ENORMOUS leaves

So, I have succumbed to a small (very small :)) clematis. Traditionally I have not found these easy to grow, but any plant producing flowers this size whilst trapped in a 9 cm pot deserves my admiration.
