Whats your weather like May 2024

It got up to 26C yesterday and thunder and lightening is expected tomorrow.

On top of this, are we in the middle of a geomagnetic storm rated G4 severe? Will it make us go all funny?

 

I fear for most of us that happened a long time ago lol...................

 

My outdoor temp. sensor read 26C yesterday afternoon, and it felt like it! Too hot for me, but the grass needed cutting and the edges trimming. The heat on top of a week without rain is making the forget-me-nots go over early, so I started on the mammoth job of pulling them out. It's forecast warm again today, but then cooling off a bit with a small chance of some rain during the week

 

Sunny and warm with a gentle breeze so I shall be out planting my broccoli, pointy and Savoy cabbage plugs this pm. Set to be cloudy and cool tomorrow which is a shame as we have 3 garden visits and a picnic planned with other Asphodèle members.

 

Forgot to do this earlier, but I went for a walk before it got too hot for me.
It was dry and bright, with fuzzy clouds, and an o'night low of 10 degrees. It's now about 22, and probably going to be like yesterday when it reached 23. It's a mix of sun and cloud today and they're now saying thundery spells later and tomorrow. It certainly feels like that.

It was 24 when I was coming back through Paisley yesterday afternoon, and the gauge was reading 23 on the car and on the garden thermometer. It was really hot on the hill too as there was only a decent breeze at the summit.

 

Light cloud and sunny intervals with a gentle breeze from the south east temp 21c feels like 23c.

 

A bit of a breeze this afternoon, so with the warmth and sun combination - the washing line is working it’s magic.

Outside feels like 25c, inside 23c, far too warm, because not used to it

 

Got the grass cut, it was rather warm, but with rain forecast for most of next week, had to be done. 16 degrees a clear sky. so might head out Aurora watching later.

Only got to 26,6c today with a breeze. Still have the breeze, quite gusty and sharp and temp of 24c.

 

Cornwall.

This morning was sunny with a cold wind. Now, 7.00PM and it is 29oC in the conservatory. No idea what it has been during the day, I have been hiding indoors. Too hot to do any gardening.

 

Pleasant day, dry and warm (enough for us) and no pressure to do anything.... That's retirement for you! Still 18c

 

Sunny, humid and hot with a light breeze, 25C/77F. There's cloud cover this evening so I'm hoping it will cool off a bit.
