Anyone know what this is please

    Its growing next to my hydrangea and quite quickly. It has a soft dark stem. Similar to a lily, except I did not plant one there. Thinking its a weed?.

    Sure looks like an Oriental Lily.
    I suppose it could be one of the willowherbs, but I don't recognise it. None of the spp I see in Cornwall are very tall.
    If a willow herb, it'll soon flower and you'll kinow and can yank it pronto.

        If you spot red beetles on it, it's definitely a lily!
