I dont know what the aims of JSO are, the name suggests they want to just stop oil. NOW?

Maybe if they spent more time coming up with a sensible advertising campaign and explained their aims, instead of just alienating the public, they could persuade a few sensible people to join them.

No sensible person is going to join a bunch of nut cases.

 

Presumably, I'm the local idiot then. I support anybody's right to peaceful protest as long as they don't themselves cause a potential breach of the peace, or cause damage to person or property. I don't see JSO as falling into that category. There have been well publicised instances of them stopping all traffic including ambulances and other emergency services. Just a single act like that is enough to turn me against them.

This is why I hate them. I don't like to use the word 'hate'. I prefer 'dislike' or to simply say I don't agree with, but for JSO hate is the correct word.

You see, I am one of the very many that cares about the planet, and can see them trends in the data, and the consequences we're going to put on our kids and grandkids. But JSO are just turning people off caring. If another protest group, completely independent of JSO, were to peacefully wave banners about the latest eco travesty, they'd now be branded by many as the same lowlife scum as JSO.

 

I see from the news that we're in for five dangerous years but Richy is just the man to save us. Phew! Nearly had me worried then.

Not sure who advised Rishi to try this doom route but I think it might have the opposite effect to the one he expects, much like Osborne's threat of a punishment budget if we dared to vote Leave did.

Food Wastage:
Why do people think that food that you didn't need or enjoy is not wasted just because it has passed through your digestive system?
It seems to me that it is more eco friendly to dump uneaten food.
PS I know that the best option is to buy and cook only what you need but with the best will in the world, this doesn't always happen.

Not a moan but not sure where else to ask this. Is anyone finding the pages on this site very slow to load? Been happening for about 24 hrs. No other sites seem affected, so don't think it is a problem my end.
