    Good morning ladies and gentlemen.

Today is another day when I take my Mother to visit my Father in the nursing home (he has Parkinson's Disease which is why he is there). I seem to have a migraine every day we go, so I'm just waiting for the painkillers (and excessive quantity of coffee) to kick in.

Glad you have a nice time visiting Sandringham @Busy-Lizzie . You certainly made excellent use of the family visit these last few days.

Good to hear that you enjoyed the quiz last night @Ladybird4 .

Continued best wishes on the MIL-recovery front @Dovefromabove .

An overcast drizzly morning so far, but mild with almost no wind.

Some good news here is that every morning I now wake up to a couple more poppies having appeared. I'm a believer in celebrating even the smallest of good things.

Have a safe day out there folks.

      Good morning all :coffee1:
Thank you all for your kind thoughts for my lovely MIL. She really is doing very well :blue thumb:

Hope your migraine eases and your parents are able to have a positive time together. It’s a difficult time.

We have 16C and fine drizzle here this morning. We put the squash plants under the patio table last night in case the rain was heavy … the tomato plants we
put into the garden room … they can go outside when the drizzle eases off which I think will be late morning, looking at the forecast.
Have a good day everyone. :)

          Good morning all!
Hope everyone is well and coping with the trials and tribulations that life throws at us.
We have steady, fairly heavy rainfall this morning giving the garden a good drink, excellent timing because I'm indoors working today.

            Morning folks.

Bit chilly for my morning coffee outside today. Just making a list for a SM run to ‘diddle-e-dee’. I’m interviewing all day tomorrow so need to buy some snacks (and coffee) to keep us sharp.

            Have a good day everyone.

              Morning all.

It rained a bit in the night but not enough to water the garden. I may have to do some watering this afternoon. I planted the lovely pink alstroemeria that my son bought at Sandringham for me and the earth was very dry. Sandy soil here.

We go back to my garden in France tomorrow for a month. Tonight we have been invited to dinner with friends. NDN is driving us to the station tomorrow to catch a train for Stansted.

I got soaked yesterday taking the car to the garage for some new tyres. I cannot use the car other than to go to the garage as the MOT has now run out. The garages were all booked up until this Friday when they will look into an electrical problem of some kind.
Where I live there is only 1 bus per hour, no pavements so too dangerous for a doddery old wrinklie to risk walking narrow lanes.
I went out to the workshop and put my foot through the door frame, totally rotten.
The dog was sick again, 3 days in a row. I am now worried he is showing signs of kidney failure, he will be 13 at the end of this month.
On the positive side, my cream Camassias are just opening and look lovely, I wish they would flower with the blue ones, my sweet corn are growing away nicely and it is only showering, not pouring like yesterday. The birds are singing fit to bust and the sun is trying to shine.

Dry so far here, after yesterday’s continual rain. Off on our cruise tomorrow, so a quiet day straightening up and checking the lists for last minute items like the toothbrushes etc. I had a near tantrum on Sunday. I’d laid out all the things to take in the spare room, all I had to do was pop them into the two cases. However, we haven’t been away for more than a weekend since before Covid, and I’d completely forgotten that we had got rid of our two old big and clumsy cases, and just kept two medium sized ones with wheels. OH was no help at all, he likes to ‘travel light’ whereas I was looking forward to the luxury of not having any luggage restrictions, and taking any extra comforts and spares that I might fancy. After a bad nights sleep, I somehow managed to get virtually everything I wanted into the cases, so now I can relax.
OH has been trying to decide whether or not to cut the grass before we go, and have it rotting in the green bins till after our return. We had finally decided to do No Mow May by default, although in the last couple of days, the garden seems to have gone from ‘due a cut’ to abandoned, derelict building! A couple of areas seem to have sprouted three foot high weeds almost overnight. We’re only away for a week, but it’s going to be like a jungle when we get back!
Hope all have a good week, recover quickly from aches, pains and migraines, and poorly relatives continue to improve.

@Goldenlily26 when I was in my garden yesterday I did notice that the white camassias I planted earlier are now showing flowerbuds. I wasn't expecting anything at all this year so this came as a lovely surprise - the blue ones, however, are well over now. I'm guessing from your post that they may not flower together which is a shame as that is what I was hoping for. So sorry to hear about your dog, he is a grand old age.
@Ergates, pleased to read you have managed the packing - my friend drives me nuts doing hers as the cases are likely to be packed then unpacked several times before she is happy! Enjoy your cruise and don't worry about the garden. It will be there waiting for you when you get back!

                      Hi all

Miserable wet day here, which is probably just as well as I sore after lugging out the first Canna pots yesterday [ no carpet damage ]
I've got sinusitis again, so went to the pharmacy, as they are now supposed to be able to deal with this now. In and out in 5 minutes, same medication as I get from GP. Very satisfactory, especially not having to hang on the phone for ever to make an appointment.

Hello all, just catching up with everyone, raining all day today and mostly rain all week is forecast.
I've been struggling with my back, bad osteoarthritis at the base of my spine, all the potting and twisting in the GH hasn't helped. One of our neighbours who has been renting a property is now buying a house in another village and we have somehow got involved with feeding her chickens and cats while she is busy. The chickens are free range and are only fed Bio food prepared in a special way ( I won't bore you with anymore details) suffice to say I'm fed up with tending these chickens in the pouring rain! She also has a dog which has to be kept away from the cats or it will kill them! Thankfully she will be moving soon and I can go back to a peaceful life!
On Thursday I go to get my eyes measured ready for my cataract ops, and Friday i go to get my hearing aids which will please OH greatly.

                          Good morning all!

It's raining here today - very welcome as I have just planted my vegetable garden and the is rain is good - except it brings out the snails but they don't munch on tomato, pepper and aubergine leaves. My runner beans are up and the snails are really enjoying those!!!

My Tax Declaration is still sitting on the dining table, so I think today is a good day to get stuck in.

I had "sinuses" yesterday @Punkdoc seem to have abated today. Hope yours are better Glad to read of MIL's recovery @Dovefromabove A nice gesture to your parents @Badly_Maintained They sacrifice so much for us. Enjoy your cruise @Ergates and send photos!! I hope the dog is all right @Goldenlily26 Such a wrench when they die!! Bon voyage for tomorrow @Busy-Lizzie
                          Happy landing!!

I haven't seen @wildedges and @Coccinella around for a while. Or is Wild at the Edges penning under another name? He used to make me laugh with his stories of family life!

                          Have an enjoyable afternoon everyone.

Hi Ladybird, when I bought my camassia bulbs I bought both blue and white, thinking they would look lovely together. No such luck, as is often the case in the plant world, the two colours never flower together. The cream ones have always been about 3 weeks behind the blue for flowering. They do not multiply as freely as the blue ones, which grow like weeds in my garden.
I suppose each colour can revel in their own glory without competition from each other.

My husband is an Audiologist, retired now, he always sold Odicon Hearing aids, his patients raved about them, worked better than all. Hardly ever had issues. Just saying.

One of three parcels never arrived yesterday telephoned yodaleihoo and only three parcels noted and their pic depicts the too.
