Lovely pix @strongylodon . I always look forward to seeing the orchids on our hills - it'll be quite soon, early June normally.
I have a little one in the garden that must have come in with a plant. I moved it [which was quite difficult!] and it's been in it's site for a good few years, and is always lovely to see when it flowers.

Beautiful wildflowers on here, takes me back to my childhood where we would see wildflowers everywhere.

 

Our local patch isn't too bad for wild flowers, but not a huge variety, so I grow lots in the garden for the bees. Later up here than most, but foxgloves, ox eyed daisies, sweet cicely in flower and the teasels are close to opening.

I went for a walk along some sand dunes yesterday, to see if I could find some orchids, I've seen them there before but this time I didn't see any at all.
However I did see some other marine plants, although some of them had few or no flowers yet.
It was a blustery day with lots of clouds.

Maybe I will go again in a week or two to see if the non-flowering ones are flowering by then, and maybe there'll be some orchids there too

 

That looks like Burry Port @Michael Hewett ! Apparently there is something quite rare growing on the harbour wall, but I can't remember what

The rare plant is apparently the small-flowered catchfly. Burry Port harbour is one of only six places in Wales where it's found.
I didn't see it yesterday - didn't remember about it, but next time I go I'll have a look for it.
