All I know is that things like oil reset is fairly simple and doesn't require anything like this, not on mine anyway.
As to finding faults, I try to ignore them.
A funny video, but not much help.

Topdon are getting a very good name @Jiffy, both by domestic/enthusiast users and by those in the trade. The trade ones are, as you would expect, quite expensive bits of kit (ranging anywhere from about £500+, but they have DIY ones from around £50.

One in particular was being recommended, the TopScan - it has no wire and works with your phone... BUT, you need a "user account" with Topdon to get it going, and it seems that process is problematic; when you add on to that the fact that it wants a yearly subscription to use it, and it really isn't good value - you are better paying a wee bit more up front and having something like this _ https://www.amazon.co.uk/TOPDON-AL6...id=1717092377&sprefix=topddon,aps,104&sr=8-30

We get the Car Mechanics magazine and their contributors have recommended the Foxwell scanners for many years, though as @Fat Controller mentions the TopDon scanners are becoming popular.

Though you specify abs and resets, do add SRS to your list as airbag sensors can also be a common problem.

You do not mention if you are looking for a single or multi make of car use, but again that magazine suggests you contact this company who can advise on the best device for your needs.

I'm not aware of that one cropping up with them - like everything, you can spend a fortune on them, but for DIY use I wouldn't be wanting to go for something overly spec'd

I just want a scanner that has ford focus 2012, and for resetting any codes with engine, abs, srs and a few other things (not good at these sort of words) that is very common, but in some reveiw with some scanners it sometimes don't do some cars, i don't want to spend good money and it doesn't like my car

You should be fine with any of those Topdon units. They seem to cover just about anything - indeed, I know someone that has a Citroen C6 and nothing will talk to that apart from main dealer software, yet the Topdon will.

For Reseting the Oil Service light seems you can do that yourself without a scanner.

We bought an ebay cheapy, about £20, to read off and clear some error codes on a previous car, worked for us, though it does not do ABS or SRS you have to go much dearer for them. Do you have a problem with yours ABS?

Thats why a chat, phone or email to Gendan might give you some clarity.
If you are into using phone Apps this unit might work for you, its a test winner of such devices, and seems it can do just about everything ! Would probably get one ourselves if we needed its features.

I've always reset the oil on my Focus as the bloke that services it doesn't do it.

Its just another stupid Idea as it has no bearing on the oil quality, it just comes on 12 months from the last time you reset it.
A pointless procedure in my opinion.

With all three of those on, I'd be tempted to start with a check of the battery - Ford are really, really huffy if battery voltage drops for any reason and will lob trouble codes all over the place, even if there is no fault.
