How can I make my Salvias bushier?

I find salvia take cuttings well even not intended ones a large peice of my salvia broke off Salvia hotlips I think. Its a brittle plant in a windswept corner of my garden I put these broken pieces in a pot and in no time they are rooting,

 

Yes, one of my cuttings was in a pot on the garden table, the wind blew it off and the main stem broke. I stuffed the broken end back in the pot and a few weeks later it was flowering.
