So ... apparently ... we might be heading towards a Labour supermajority, which, according to the Tories, will be the end of Britain as we now know it. :gaah:

Britain has been changed beyond measure since 2010 ... and I'm pretty hard pressed to think of anything that has got better, so it is the Tories who have broken it.

I'm not convinced by any of them but feel I must use my franchise. So I'm emailing the local candidates and asking them to answer some questions. I'll see what they reply - still thinking up more questions.

In the past it wasn't too difficult as I knew all the candidates but this time I don't know any of them. If I can't pick as party I want I shall try and pick who I think is going to be the best candidate for doing things for the Constituency.

One of them isn't even showing an email address on their info!

Labour won’t be perfect … they’ll make a few mistakes I’m sure … but at least they won’t be screwing the country over intentionally … that’ll do for me given the options we have … :blue thumb:

I would love to vote green but I might as well just set fire to my ballot paper (or in my case set fire to my ipad).

They all keep promising what they are going to do but no ones figures appear to add up, apparently.
Its about time the voting system was changed and peoples votes should all count, even if you dont vote for the winner in your area.

A system where the Tories are saying a vote for Reform is a vote for Labour has got to be wrong, but what they are saying is right under the cockeyed system we have now.

Its basically fixed, a two party system cannot be called a democracy.

For what its worth I personally give Starmer 2 yrs as leader, once elected, I dont think he is strong enough and he will go the way most Conservative PMs have gone, overthrown by his own party, we will probably end up with Miss gobby running the country.
