Good morning @RowlandsCastle. That sounds like a wonderful job in the museum. Never underestimate the assistance of 'Post It' notes - strategically placed - to help with the memory!

I like the idea of "Post It" notes. Not sure that other staff Will appreciate having little bits of paper stuck on them, but, if it helps me, then ...........

Then it's a case of remembering what order procedures need completing in, and particularly the removal of the sign saying "The Museum is Open" from the location that can't be seen from the museum, will be an interesting one!!
But, I'm never going to be on duty on my own, so I'll have the advantage of another person or persons to help me.
As for helping the public, I'm only going to know where stuff is, through being there.
      Time will help.
It was like being in the office for the first time.

@RowlandsCastle I do have to say that it sounds really interesting and I wish you all the luck in the world as you take on the task.

          Good morning all :coffee1:
Sounds good @RowlandsCastle … I really enjoyed my stints in a village museum when I lived in Suffolk.
We’re off to MIL’s just for the day today …. I’d better finish this coffee and get up … have a good day everyone…

            Morning all.

Good luck @RowlandsCastle, I'm sure you'll be fine.

We went to my grandson's 1st Holy Communion in Périgueux yesterday evening, followed by a meal in a restaurant by the river, but the weather wasn't good enough to eat outside. There were quite a lot of us. My son has 5 children, grandparents and godparents and their children were invited. The meal was delicious but the helpings were huge which is something you don't often see in France. We got home after midnight so slept longer than usual this morning.

Today we are going to visit 3 gardens in the Open Gardens scheme that supports children's charities. 2 are quite small in a village and there are refreshments at the third one in another village.

                Hello and good morning,

Yes, that was a beautiful sunset @PatE.

We have a much brighter morning today, though the annoying breeze is back. It is supposed to remain dry today, so fingers crossed, I’ll be able to continue with the pruning (well, tidying really) of some plants that have put on a growth spurt after all the rain we’ve had.

Your museum work sounds interesting @RowlandsCastle, I’m sure you’ll soon get the hang of it.

It seems as if a lovely time was had by all yesterday, @Busy-Lizzie. I hope you enjoy the open gardens today.

                  Morning folks.

I love sunset and sunrise pictures @PatE .
Having a south-facing garden is wonderful, but the sun rise is out of view unfortunately.

I fell back asleep after my 3:30 cat alarm clock, and again after stirring at 8am. Oh well - that’s Z’s in the bank for the week ahead.

Have a decent Sunday all - hope it is what you need - be that relaxing, pottering about, being busy, socialising, or gardening.

It hasn’t remained dry as forecast. Instead, it’s tippling down. Getting really fed up with it now.

Afternoon everybody, fortunately for us we have sunshine, it's warmer and the strong wind has abated to a nice breeze. Apart from our usual walk this morning, I haven't done anything yet so must get going. Wasted a lot of time searching the house for one of my favourite earrings , small ruby and pearl ones. I wore them yesterday and can remember taking one off at bedtime but where on earth is the other?!! I shall be most upset if they don't turn up.

Need to plant out more runner beans today which have grown taller in the kitchen than those outside!

I enjoyed watching Trooping the Colour yesterday @Busy-Lizzie but missed the first half. Pleased to see the PofW looking better than I expected and she seemed pleased to be out and about again. I thought it was daft to make the King stand in the pouring rain at the end, surely they can cobble together a see through dias with a roof? Reminds me of the poor late Queen and Prince Philip on the boat in wet weather with a biting cold wind.

                        Enjoy your day out @Dovefromabove.

Hope Punkdoc and others have some sunshine today, at least the forecast next week looks better.

Your museum stints will become easier the more you do @RowlandsCastle, it was good of you to volunteer - oh, I forgot, your wife volunteered you didn't she!!!

But I HAD offered to do stints, sometime. And what is a wife for?

Sunday. got home last night. slept like a log. trying to do just enough today. unpack etc. mail etc.
Lots of my hydrangea blooming, have to get pics.
Our little feral cat came by right away, she got a whole can of food. She does get fed also by a neighbor. Guess she sensed we were home.
Loved being in my own bed. Take care all.

                                Had to look him up!

Still haven't found it. However my birthday's next month so new ruby earrings (being also the birthstone for July) might hopefully be forthcoming.
