Agree entirely. This is my bugbear - for the entirety of my life it has either been Labour or Tories - BOTH have made a complete hash of things; BOTH are responsible for us being where we are now, and I am not about to reward EITHER of them for their failures.

      106. introduced IR35, a tax aimed at putting small businesses out of action, which cost more to administer than what it collected. It triggered another brain drain and significantly increased the cost of every government contract, because those same workers now had to contract via Labour's preffered big consultancies i.e their chums and sponsors. Thanks Tony for bankrupting my business and putting my employees on the dole.

      107. Raided dividends on pension pots, and caused many providers to go bust, thanks Gordon Brown for making me work another 5 years past my retirement to make up.

TB was ok when he started but like all PMs that feel they are untouchable after they have reached a second term became an are s hole, and after dragging us into wars in the middle east became the envoy for peace in the middle east:scratch::roflol:.

Dumped poor of Gordon in the shite, and swanned off into the sunset.

Gordon Brown was either stupid or power hungry to even consider taking over the reigns at that point, to be fair, he tried but TB had left such a chaotic mess behind he stood no chance.

I haven't noticed the Tories doing much for small businesses either, or for peoples pensions. Perhaps that is why so many companies are backing Labour.
On a countback system, I declare Labour the winners, by a country mile.
I hope they do raise taxes [ which all the others would do as well ] because we desperately need better funding of public services.
With a bit of luck the nasty Party will be in the wilderness for a generation.

With a bit of luck the nasty party will be annihilated!

Labour are certainly going to win this election, for sure and yes taxes will rise - the worry, for many is that the waste will continue.

I do actually think this is a possibility. Could be interesting ...

I suspect it would be the same whichever party happened to be in government. Once again it's successive governments that have kicked the can down the road and not assured adequate investment in infrastructure or governance.

And rather strangely, I think that is probably the only thing many will actually agree with on this thread.

Yes, it is interesting, as I suspect many on here would have voted for them in the past I would love the Lib Dems to do well, so we have the left of centre being in charge longer term.

Yes, I want the Lib Dems to be the official opposition. I am in a very safe Tory seat. Labour don't have a hope of winning here, but the Lib Dems just might, so ... There's a Reform candidate standing, which may be helpful in siphoning off some of the current majority.

                      I am quietly hopeful. :)

I did vote Lib Dem - only for them to go into bed with the Tories. To say I as furious, is an understatement.

EDIT - but Mr Davey's connections with the Horizon scandal are more than enough to put me off them for the future.

Certainly I do not regard Ed Davey as ideal, but given the alternatives ...

They were just asking youngsters that are voting for the first time.
Top of the bill seemed to be mental health, I get the feeling this mental health thing has gone far enough we seem to be breeding it into the next generation.

Its almost like you suggest something enough times and a suddenly everyone has got it.

                        They also spoke about Greenwashing?
                        Brainwashing is more like it.
I'm assuming the TV picked out these ones to interview, if not I dont hold out much hope for the country, no wonder we are importing workers from abroad where they seem to have more backbone.

Therein lies the problem we've had for far too long, and the very reason we are where we are. Politicians who really don't feel they have to work for our votes, don't really have to bother doing what we want and need them to do once elected, so do as they please knowing they are Teflon coated and are going to pass the dirty nappy on to the next lot (who will in turn blame the last lot for all the woes) - - we've been voting for the "least worst" option for decades, rather than voting for who is best.

I hate to admit but I voted for him, I recall people saying he was a dangerous person which I dismissed, he fooled me to begin with.
