Well I have risked pegging out the washing as the rain (for now anyway) has seemed to have blown over. Seems to be similar down at Wimbledon. I feel so sorry for Andy Murray. It would have been lovely seeing him play singles. At least he will get a chance to play in the doubles.

 

for you @Ladybird4. It’s remained fine and breezy here so far and the washing is drying. Rain is forecast for through the night.

Hello all.
Sad to see Dove go.

I'm another who put the washing machine on this morning, towels today, clothes yesterday. The clothes dried but it's so grey and gloomy the towels will have to dry in the spare bedroom. It's so chilly I've put the heating on.

I won't do any gardening today, knee hurts, slept badly.

Internet keeps going off, TV needs it to work so I think I'll read my book with my leg up.

 

Have I missed something here? Is @Dovefromabove going somewhere. I saw the little clip of Pete and Dud - remember seeing them do that on TV and its still amusing.
@Busy-Lizzie, definitely a good idea to rest that knee of yours. Its keeping dry (ish) here but I'm keeping a weather eye open in case I have to retrieve the washing from the line. Nice to have Wimbledon to watch so I'm sorry that you are having a few hiccups with your internet. Most annoying.

 

Still here at our Airbnb. Today I get to continue staining the back stair way off the deck, big whoop. Thank goodness its cooled down some. 75 degrees. Hope the horse flies are not about, but come prepared with some "good" natural insect repel spray. Leave you with a pic.

Not really got the hang of this site, unable to work out how to send a private message. Wondering what has happened to Dove, seems sudden as she was supervising Wimbledon.

 

I am biting my nails down to the quick watching this match between Draper and Ymer. Some great tennis going on but some nerve wracking poor shots every now and again. I might have to lie down in a dark room with a wet cloth on my head!

Evening all. Been feeling very low since the loss of our two dogs so close together and haven't been on the forum much. Washing all their bedding - night time cages, day beds, favourite blankets on sofas plus their towels for post muddy walkies took days, as did the drying. The two cats were bewildered at first but are now much more relaxed.

It does seem odd not tripping over the dogs when I'm in the kitchen cooking and not having them waiting patiently for their share of bacon rinds and poached egg for Saturday brunch or grated cheese and other goodies at other meals.

Haven't done much gardening lately as it's either been too wet or too hot. Now it's pleasant and dry and about 21C by day so I'm cleaning and decorating the kitchen while the back of my mind works on garden plans......... I've been watching GH DVDs whilst finishing a sewing project and he's inspired a new herbs and pongs project.

I hope everyone is well. Now to go and catch up.
