    I love your formal ponds too @noisette47 . Every bit as good, and appealing, as a wildlife/informal one IMO. :smile:

    @Michael Hewett
    It's new to me this year. I didn't know it was supposed to be hardy, I would expect to lose it. Doesn't look like a hardier type to me but we shall have to see.. I'm quite taken by it. I thought you did a splendid job with your old garage border.

    Lovely photos above !..

      I hope it survives for you.

      Thanks for the compliment about my garden, the old drive consisted of cracked concrete and weeds.

        Thank you, fairygirl. I'm waiting for the water to settle in the informal one before taking any photos. I was in there getting up close and personal with the frogs and water lilies at the weekend, got the disgusting black fingernails to prove it :biggrin:

                    It's Peter Rabbit but one of his ears has broken.
                    I also have Tom Kitten. They are many years old.

                          I had a real work out today putting in a new bed up front for self defense from the black medic, creeping chair, thistles and broadleaf that the hillbillies next door have in throngs. I still need to plant in it but it amused me to pull out an old Halloween decoration to give the neighbourhood a giggle.

                          I'd like to take some divisions from here to get the new bed started. Wait for flowers to die?

                            @ViewAhead I have supported it this year with canes and twine as it has grown taller than before. Must be all that spring rain!
