Hello, just joined on finding that the Gardeners World Forum had closed. We live in the Purbeck district of South Dorset where we have a large garden/greenhouse and grow lots of our own veg. This has been a difficult year veg- wise but I'm looking forward to posting over the coming weeks to find out if others have experienced similar problems due to an exceptionally wet winter/spring.

Hello @Minx, I'm not too far away from you in South Somerset. If you look at the Vegetable Growing 2024 and Tomato Growing 2024 threads you will see the type of challenges we have all been facing. For me the cold has been more of an issue than the wet.

Hi there! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction there. Off to have a look now! We only had 3 frosts this winter, but rain??? Endless.

Yes winter was mild, but the cold spring made it difficult to get any seeds started.

I'm having less success than usual with seed germination outdoors, even now.
