Raducanu absolutely smashed it today, could barely put a racket wrong :blue thumb:

Well ... as attentive readers will know Kasatkina is one of my favourite players and she has just won her match 6-0 6-0. A double bagel! :hapfeet: Unfortunately, she was playing a Brit. Ah well!

Quite a few brits on the schedule today, including the Murray brothers.

I wonder if it’s just tennis that uses the term bagel?

Not sure how the bagel term first arose.

Yes, Brits all over the schedule. Harriet and Katie bashing it out now.

So, in summary, Dart beat Boulter. Neither played their best, but it was interesting in that I could not predict who was going to win till the last ball of the extended tie-break after the 3rd set. Then Norrie beat Draper in 3. Norrie played beautifully, at his inspired best. :) Pleasure to watch.

The Murrays are on now. Apparently Wimbledon wanted to schedule them for tomorrow, but the BBC did not want a clash with the football.

Weather forecast looking really dismal tomorrow, so likely to be a lot of rain delays.

Big shame about Boulter but well done to Dart.

Andy Murray's last Wimbledon hasn't been spectacular but they've trotted out Sue Barker to see him off!

If using the name of food for '0' had started in the UK surely it would have been doughnut not bagel.

The Alcaraz v Tiafoe match is excellent. Already like Alcaraz but Tiafoe has shown proper grace in a big lad

I missed most of the Alcaraz v Tiafoe match as had homework to do (yes adults get homework too!) but settling down for Raducanu v Sakkari now.

Didn't see the Alcaraz/Tiafoe match, but did hear one commentator say it was the best of the tournament so far.

What with rain delays and distractions like elections, I don't feel I have got into the flow of Wimbledon this yr. Week one normally serves up more interesting tennis than Week 2, IMV, cos you get to see players you have never happened across before, but my viewing has been a bit disjointed.

Weather forecast looking very "changeable" next week, though today is fairly promising.
