What's Your Weather Like July 2024

Nice to hear it’s mild and sunny back home AuntyRach. Driving back to Wales shortly. Just to say at 8.30 here in Newark-on-Trent the same lovely warm morning taking Grandchildren to school . Could it be highs of 21c today ?

 

Went to Oxford once more and left a blue sky. Arrived in Oxford i had still blue sky but it’s cloudy now while leaving Oxford. 17c.

@fairygirl we had no rain for the last 3 weeks but got 40mm last Friday to Saturday.

Just saw rain warning for tonight. Good for the ground.

 

It always gets me of how it can be warm in the sun and at the same time a right old cold wind.
The weather I mean not me health

 

If you're sad @fairygirl , then so am I . I put my daily rainfall measurements in a spreadsheet that does the monthly and annual totals for me .

 

A light breeze and 28c.

 

We've been going through a few days of heat - mostly in the high 80'sF or low 90'sF so hovering around and the guessers say today will be in the 90'sF 30c, the same tomorrow and then we're going to drop down to the low 20's. A typical Canadian week. Shorts one day, long pants and cardigans the next and then also a jacket!

 

I think I could settle for that, with what we are having that sounds more like summer.

Mostly overcast with just the odd spit of rain in the wind.
I've not even bothered to look at the thermometer I dont want to depress myself anymore.

 

No rain forecast during the day today. Very heavy rain to prove the forecasters/aka computer models wrong. 16C. Very heavy rain tonight. Again. I have a pond and am considering enlarging it to a lake, to have done with it. At least I could get rid of what passes for a lawn!

 

Double blobs all night tonight, then lightening all tomorrow afternoon. Am going outside now to put my delicate pots in the GH. CH just about to come on.

 

I’m pretty chilly this evening. The day quickly deteriorated from cloud to drizzle to rain. No CH ‘allowed’ here - it’s grab another layer, and maybe a lap cat, to keep warm.

 

I wonder how much rain you will get tomorrow @JennyJB. Maybe you could let us know.

It's looking pretty good for rain tomorrow, then dry for the rest of the week but thankfully not too hot. Even though we had some rain on Saturday, the ground is still very dry.

 

High today 29,6c but with a breeze. Currently 26.9c and quite breezy so nice and fresh.

 

Mostly dry with a mixture of sunshine and cloud. 15C/59F

 

Did have sunny intervals but now it's cloudy with light rain at times and a gentle breeze from the south east temp 16c feels like 17c
