Before I mow our back lawn I have to check it for fox poo. Usually it is easy to remove, but if the fox has eaten something bad it's like a mini cow pat and it has to be left to harden and peeled off days later.

More recently the fox has been urinating on the lawn and there are several burn holes. I have had to re-seed the patches.

But we still love our foxes!

The latest in the juvenile magpie saga is as follows.
They have discovered a new favourite place to sit. It's on the arm connecting the satellite dish to the LNB... and since they apparently have a sense of humour, they choose the penalty shoot-out between England and Switzerland as a good time to do it. :gaah:

        It's unforgiveable @Jiffy.
Perhaps it's time to plant some berberis along it - but then again, why should you have to fork out to solve a problem created by manky people and their 'pets'.

Maybe a camera [if you had one] carefully positioned, with a carefully worded sign might help. Doesn't have to be working....;)

My moan is that I slipped on the kitchen floor on Saturday, and have pulled my left calf muscle. That side was already weakened due to a broken ankle and broken foot. Now relying on my wife to do things. Grrr!!

I'm sure it isn't even a week ( maybe a little more but I doubt it) since I did some proper gardening but this warm wet weather has turned it into a drippy, seedy, mushy brown, gone over, overgrown, brambly wilderness. I don't think even cutting the grass will make it look much better.
The bugs and nibblers are happy, though.

I've nipped out between showers to pick a bunch of flowers. I normally prefer to see them in the garden but I might as well try and get some benefit:sad:

My malva alba plants are squashed flat and broken stemmed. However, they last really well as a cut flower (weeks and weeks if you change the water daily) so I now have 3 full vases on the go. :blue thumb:

@ViewAhead .I have the pink weed / wildflower one dotted flatly about. I might go and rescue a few.

Good idea! :blue thumb: Gotta rescue some pleasure from this ghastly weather we are experiencing. If it weren't for all the leaves, etc, on display, you could mistake it for November here today! :noidea:

I saw something about the wildfires in California and thought it strange that they were happening in winter - then I remembered it wasn't winter. I was half asleep, though ( hibernating?)

If they declare a water shortage I’ll write to my MP.
