A self-seedling ... plus wildlife.

 

Although they are flowering, the three Salvia Amistads in my garden are less than half the size of the ones I grew last year and seem to have no pollinators visiting. Looks like they've given up too!

 

At least the slugs didn't get 'em, @Plantminded.

Everything is soaking wet in the garden today, it has rained non stop but went out with my hood up and took some photos of the dahlias, which are definitely slow to get going this year.

I'm very pleased with my changes that I did since yesterday. I took out the old tatty plants and bought 2 Geraniums and 2 Astrantia. I created a path (will be continued over winter) which allows me to take care of plants from that side, and finally put bark on it.



Astrantia Mixed collection as the label says.



I'm glad that this Echinacea has survived the move from one end to the other corner. It's not that high as it was, but it has survived.


This is the best wildflower bed that I have ever had.





There are still tiny Foxgloves side shootscoming up.

Great colour on those Annabelles @shiney . Whites are always better to photograph when it's slightly duller or darker. Mine are a hazier white [ can't remember which type they are] but the foliage is working nicely with the dark red potted lilies nearby.

Dahlias are only starting to get buds here @CatDouch , but hopefully they'll come away in the next few weeks.

The white Borage is just opening - grown from seed earlier this year. The bees are already enjoying the flowers, and I've got several plants, all doing nicely

 

After a night of constant rain, many of my plants have been flattened, with broken flower stems, particularly the three clumps of Calamagrostis which are looking a mess. Rain does enhance some leaves though, like Hostas and Cotinus:
