Proof of the phone footage showing security knowing about the shooter? It was shown on the BBC.

 

I heard the ginger bloke going on about shouting at the police about there being a man with a gun on the roof right after the incident.
I thought there was more, I also saw the video of him on the roof, before and a fuzzed out one after he was shot, but I cant really see what it proves.

Break down in communications maybe, but definite intent to ignore what was going on seems to be stretching it without any real evidence.

Nobody believed Farage when he said that bloke was an actor, that was pretending to be a reform worker, but suddenly everyone seems intent of making something of this and reading things into it that may not be there.

 

I'm with the idea of someone working alone rather than any conspiracy. A conspiracy would have got the job done.
Why try for a head shot where you have a relatively small target, with a lot of hair on it.
Go for the torso, larger target, moves more slowly and with modern ammunition you are as likely to kill as with a head shot.

 

The footage I saw was from before the shooting took place. Security guys were there and saw the gunman. Members of the public saw the gunman. Yet Trump remained in his direct line of sight and his security detail on and around the podium did not act. Were they not told? Why not? Two minutes is time enough to get a message to them surely?

 

The way I heard it was the shooter was on a building that was outside the area of Trump's security people, that area was supposedly under the control of the local police.

Maybe they were not talking to one another, who knows.

 

Apparently the shooter was on a sloping roof and the Secret Service decided it was too risky to have an agent up there. Healthy and Safety gone mad?

 

I heard that the local police were inside the building with the sloping roof.

 

Has the person who found the bullet that bounced off Trump's earhole put it on Ebay yet?

 

So ... a few things don't add up for me.

1. These are supposedly amongst the best security personnel in the world, and yet ...
2. Very shortly after the bullet whizzed past Trump, security allowed him to stand up. How did they know there were not multiple shooters out there?
3. Trump looked triumphant in that moment. Not scared, not in pain. That's an unusual reaction just moments after someone has shot at you.

Maybe the security team were just seriously incompetent. Maybe Trump's emotional repertoire does not stretch to fear, though for a man who has a germ phobia, being wrestled to the ground combined with the presence of blood might reasonably have been expected to discombobulate him at least briefly.

If you had asked last week what scenario would help Trump's election chances most, a failed assassination attempt would have been right up near the top of the list.

Just sayin'.

Oh wonderful, now it emerges that we have a Deputy PM that used to campaign with Hope Not Hate. Not a problem, she was just knocking about with people who subscribe to the most dangerous political ideology of the 20th century! FCOL
