Loving the Heleniums @LunarSea ! I can never grow them, they always die off.

 

Mardi Gras is a good name for those ^^^!

 

I have a sheet of Scarlet Pimpernel at the moment. Needs dealing with before it goes to seed.

 

Fuchsia 'Delta's Sara'.

 

Persicaria Fat Domino. It's taken three years and three different varieties to find a Persicaria/Bistorta which will grow here and flower. This one looks promising.

 

@Plantminded, can the Delta's Sarah cope with quite a lot of shade - light shade, in that there are no branches overhanging it, but limited direct sun? I ask as it is my latest acquisition and I'm not quite sure where to plant it.

 

Yes @ViewAhead, mine's in light shade and surrounded by grasses and perennials. I should have given it more space! See if you can find it here .

 

While waiting for the butterflies, I took the one or other picture and I was lucky to have more luck with the butterflies today.

Helenium 'Helena Red' needs more time. It's in heavy clay soil, @Michael Hewett. Maybe they don't like all the same soil. I was thinking about dividing the plant but don't want to break it.



Here it is. Strange enough, I haven't see one single butterfly or bee on the Verbena B.



I had 3 plants of each package that I had bought (10?). Many of them were eaten by little snails in the greenhouse. Only 1 Cleome hassleriana, 'White Queen', out of 3 has survived.



It turns out that the Wild Marjoram is very attractive for butterflies. In case you spot the couple on the left, please don't disturb :-)

Pleased with this sweet little patch of Cosmos, Candytuft and Virginia Stock.

 

So many lovely photos on this thread! The very wet and windy weather, seemingly for months, means I have no photos until today which is warm and sunny. This is my beautiful hydrangea 'Blacksteel Zebra'. It is flowering better than ever before. The plant just in front of it is a hepatica, but I don't know which one.
