Recently retired and I have just bought a greenhouse, so looking forward to many happy hours growing things in it.

How big is it? Enough room for a chair and a small table? :)

8x6 and I don't intend having chairs and tables, when I've got the staging in (not arrived yet) and made room for late planting of some salad stuff, there won't be room for furniture! I'm still in the assembly stage - haven't got the glass in yet.

I hardly have enough room to turn around in my greenhouse plus it's a bit too hot for sitting in.

What are you going to grow in there?

I have a 12 x 12 that is full of plants year round, I couldn't get a chair in there, let alone chairs and table. I do have a narrow short wooden bench, that was a gift.
      It's a greenhouse not a garden room.

I was told that no matter how big a greenhouse you buy, you'll always want a bigger one. I'm sure this will be true for me too

We bought a 20ft x 10ft greenhouse in 1976 and it was completely full by 1978 :rolleyespink:

You don’t own a man shed then? My ideal day is early winter, no plants in the greenhouse, just me a chair, a table, a good book and a pot of tea. Hidden from all of life’s demands for five minutes. :)

Sounds wonderful but my greenhouse is fuller in winter than summer, all the tender stuff comes into the greenhouse.

Should have bought a bigger greenhouse...

Sorry; but what is a man shed.
I have a house with 2 comfy chairs, a sofa and facilities making tea and coffee.
I find the most annoying visitors to be those who want to sit down when they come to look at the garden or pick some plants up.

I anticipate mine will also be full in the winter. I'm planning on getting a tubular heater, just to keep the frost out. Any recommendations?

Hamster in wheel that drives a generator for heating - but you must call the hamster Faraday. :heehee:
