The same - 22C; no rain; intermittent sun. Tomorrow, the jet stream is forecast to jump to the north of the UK (versus over southern England at present), so noticeably warmer temperatures and more sunshine.

Just came in for hamburgers but sat out for 90 minutes as we watched Jersey Boys (did not know it was about Frankie Valli whom I met in 1976/77, sat on the floor having a cigarette with him before he went on stage), lovely guy. It is 28,9c out there now.

Like with all scientific standards, there needs to be an average 0. If you follow the table by the NOAA for quite some time, I started in January 2023, and you will notice that the weather that we had most of the time was reflected in the figures seen in the table, then you get a good feeling of prediction what could come out after the month is over. The update happens around 7 days once a month has passed.
By chance I was here on holiday for 2 weeks in June 2006 and remember very well the days when it was hot (I coincidentally stood for 2 hours in 32c on The Mall watching the Queen passing by coming back from the Trooping of the colour. Before that, we went to Billingsgate at 5 in t-shirt, and drove back half 6 passing Trafalgar Square, Admiralty Arch, an empty The Mall just police there, a dream became true, best day of my life). After that, it went down to nice 25c.
In 2012, we went to Wales on holiday in the second week of the month in winter jacket, hat and gloves. The 25th of May was the first warm day with 25c and we went to Hastings. Two days later, the weather changed and I still see myself walking through Windsor Park in my winter jacket, hat and gloves and heavy rain at 11c. It was that year when they announced a hosepipe ban in April not realising it will cause a 3 months period of rain. Only with the Olympics in August, the weather turned for 3 weeks, and started to go back on the same evening of the closing ceremony with thunder.

                Chaos theory - Wikipedia

We are surrounded by people who either claim "climate change, earth is getting warmer, human made" and the opposite "weather has always changed over the thousands of years, there is no proof that it is human made". When I gave a few weeks ago that Alice Roberts quote about a professor who had found that there was a rapid change in climate inside decades (less than 100 years) that contradicts what many climate change supporters say "there has never been such rapid change in temperatures as today".

The problem is that many don't realise that our increase in population on earth is just down to the fact that we have had a relatively stable climate in the last 100 years that allowed to produce food for almost all on every continent. With the recent flooding in Germany this year, or our drought from 2022, that is just half of it what used to be common occurrences hundreds of years ago. Most people who have studied are none the wiser and still think in middle-age categories "what I see today has always been like that".
Who knows what happens to Europe when the Sahara turns green again in 15.000 years :-)

Hazy sun, a humid 22c going to high 20s/low 30s. We are now under a Yellow Warning for Rain and a Thunderstorm tomorrow between 10am and 7pm ... but I will :hapfeet: if and when it passes by me.

24c today, going up to 26c over the next few days. So nice to have the sun out again.

Not much to do in the garden apart from watering and picking runner beans, which are finally producing enough for the two of us.

Clear blue sky and warm here. Apparently this is set to stay until Friday! I probably have enough in the water butts to last the week for veg watering, but the pots will have to have tap water.

19 degrees is too 'ot for me, hiding in the shade today after early watering.
