My old mower would never start when it was hot, the engine I mean, not the weather.
I used to have to wait an hour for it to cool down before restarting.
            A right PITA.
One I got now starts first pull every time.

We can't open our windows as they are harvesting. They worked till midnight and are finishing today. There's just a big cloud of dust in the air.

The joys of living in the country :)

@pete I wonder if I should start collecting what I read today in case someone claims it hasn’t happened.

Reeves had hoped it’s over withe Junior doctors, now, the GPs will try it too.
I read an article in the Telegraph today that they could also cancel the AOP bus pass and the free prescription for over 60’s.

I don't think they would cancel the free prescriptions as a lot of pensioners will not be able to afford them. That is then likely to put more of them in hospital - or in the ground!

Reeves is deluded - the junior doctors will start a cascade, everyone from nurses through to consultants, firemen, police, paramedics and so on. The woman is an idiot.

They are also fiddling with the care system, apparently you will have to go down to something like £23, 000 before you get any help with care.

Yes GPs are now joining the bandwagon.

I just dont understand why all these statements are being made now, surely it should all come out in the next budget.
What has she done about the rich?

Are these really the Labour party.

Is the Labour party really that bothered about the pensioners, or is any party
                      once they get into power.

There would seem to be a large amount of Prescription Medicines which find their way into the GP surgery bins. Hard to tell whether or not they are Free or purchased but either way, we do seem to waste a lot here in the UK.
We are all aware that it is possible for individuals to buy certain pharmaceutical products at a cheaper cost than obtaining them via the NHS.
As with every other benefit available, it needs a thorough overhaul. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be a Quick Fix ( and little in the way of photo opps. either ) so unlikely to appeal to many politicians.
As for the Pension debate, why would any MP/Minister worry about it ? Once you are in, you are assured of a pension ( as well as a decent salary, help with housing costs thru the expenses system ) and subsidised food and booze. Not bad really !!
