Well, it is 1.30pm ... and we have not reached 30c ... yet! Soon, I am sure. It is lovely and blue and breezy.

It feels like the weather is about to change here as the breeze is picking up and the clouds are a darker shade…

                20c outside, still 26.5c inside.
None of the forecast rain materialised. Just watered the plants.
Tomorrow, we will be back to normal with 22c.

Sunny and 26 today with a persistent breeze. Thank goodness. The forecast from tomorrow is 22 plus or minus. No more rain forecast but then again, neither was yesterday's tropical downpour, which lasted an hour. I've started to use the weather radar on the Met Office site, which is a more reliable predictor than the pretty graphics. We had a ten-minute warning of yesterday's rain, despite the weather symbol showing bright sunshine.

I always use the met office radar, but make sure you are looking at the observation picture rather than the forecasted one.
The observation is mostly 5 or 10 minutes behind real time.

Hot and dry again today, up to 27C in the afternoon. A decent breeze had got up when I went out to do some watering at about half past eight, so hopefully the forecast change is coming. This weekend's job is prepping and painting the bathroom and I can't face doing it if it's baking hot.

                            Good morning all
Visibly a change in weather. The Met Office (thanks ChrisM6 and pete for the tip) shows rain from 6:15 to 7:45.
If that is the case, I would be over the moon unless it's similar the few drops two days ago.
The proof is in the pudding: none of the others (BBC, Wetteronline radar) shows that band of rain or has shown it yesterday.
I'll let you know who has won (speaking in Olympic terms)

It's a mostly cloudy start but fairly bright.

I discovered later on that the forecast rain on the MetOffice was less than 0.5mm. Forget my enthusiasm.

I discovered that 2 of the gladioli developed flower stems over the last 3 days. They still need time developing, but will hopefully open in August which hints to an end of winter at the end of March.
