Berry has started to play with River

 

Very cute @Logan. The slurping in the background was a surprise .

 

Thank you @Plantminded the slurping was our other dog Barley, he doesn't play at the moment.

 

Yesterday River went for his first walk, every walk he was more confident. Today he was walking to heal well, i think that he'll be a fast learner, i let him go in front of me to take this pic. I just take him up the road and back, increase the walk over a few weeks.

Thought that it might tire him out so that he would be tired late afternoon but no he still gets the zoomies and running around the place, he's able to jump on the settee now.

Thank you @AuntyRach he's not too bad but he's lovely, be glad when his claws wear down a bit with the walking on the pavement, tried clipping them but he won't stay still.

 

When I retire I will finally be able to have a dog - I would absolutely love a goldie - wonderful dogs.

 

Yes they're a good breed for a family, so good with children. The only thing that you have to remember is that they do pick things up in their mouth. When we are eating our first one would go around the house looking for things that he could steal and go under the dining table with it. We found our first breeder through the kennel club, but there's the champ dog website these days.

 

The Squeak came to visit this morning so he ate some kibbles then moved across The Courtyard for a nap ...


Thought he went home (wherever that is but at three o'clock he was in the shade here ...

 

With all this heat, Van and Munchkin do a lot of lying around too ...

 

River has just been fed, went to toilet in the garden and now some Knapp time. Now that he can jump on the settee sometimes he'll sleep there.

 

Munchkin looks a lot bigger than Van? Or is it all fur!

 

Van is the big one. Munchkin (Chere Khan) the girl is a Tabby and was 15 in May. She has always been tiny. Van (Hoover Van Dyson) is a Cross Siamese Snowshoe and was 12 in May. Both are Moggies. Munchkin was found in a sandwich bag with her siblings by a rubbish bin at birth. She has been with us since she was five weeks. Van just appeared here out of the orange orchards when he was perhaps 18 months old and wouldn't leave so we adopted him.

Poor Munchkin - why would anyone just dump such a pretty cat.? I'd have taken her in too.

Van looks as though he's saying "you take me in or else!".

We had a rescue cat many years ago - she was found in the boiler room at Birmingham City Football club. I keep my eyes open for another , but haven't seen anything yet.
