Because they have found a 20 billion black hole, which is mostly of their making, in just a few weeks.
How many billions are they throwing at other countries to get them to net zero for a start.
Its all about looking good, whether we can afford it or not doesn't matter, just screw the plebs.

I don’t think the Tories would have removed the WFP …the loss of that really stinks. What’ll be next?

Part of the hole was made by Covid, but they are expecting those who didn't benefit very much from furlough or get generous gov contracts to pay it back. The people who gained were the very wealthy. They should be the ones filling the hole.

Net zero, ditto. The wealthy are responsible for a huge proportion of carbon emissions. They should pay for the solutions and have their life styles impacted first and most.

I think the negativity is of their own making.
The phrase "difficult decisions" keeps being banded about, especially from Reeves regarding the up coming budget.
And judging by how they have started its not looking good for those on low incomes.

Surely the Labour party has always been left of centre, or you could go for the Lib Dems, or even the Tories seemed to be heading that way.

I assume by making all the plastic bottles the same and just printing the labels green, blue or whatever is a fraction of a penny cheaper. Another thing they changed at the same time is to make the tops non detachable, maybe to help recycling. Perhaps white tops recycle better than coloured. I find them a bit annoying not coming off completely.

The tops I'm getting come off normally, but they are not coloured.
I've ordered my milk online and ended up with semi skimmed when I wanted the proper stuff, semi was always green top and the normal was blue.

I didn't read the printing on the label as I never used to have to bother.

We will have to wait and see, but if they do then they will never be able to criticise the Tories for so called austerity.

The Tories were going to increase the personal allowance for pensioners so that they did not pay tax on the state pension. Many will have to pay tax for the first time soon as the personal allowance has not risen. And the winter fuel payment was tax free.

As far as I know the state pension, being as paltry as it is, is well below the tax threshold, I believe you only pay tax on any private pensions you have.
At least that's how mine works.
