    Top cap is on the left fence, 8x2… top cap on front fence 9x2. New shirt fence built to the right of the gate and built the new gate too

      Started to put the sleepers in place now….just a mock up of the space. Also learned by bringing in the space by just over 400mm gives me space now to create a parking space, for future EV maybe

            Very neat @Welshman - is that tamped down hoggin/gravel?

            Its filled with hardcore upto grade, hand-tamped and then levelled off with stone dust and hand tamped again…..

              Does that surface wear well where you are @Welshman ? I've never tried it.

              Its not the finished surface, next will be adding 900x600 slabs as stepping stones and then using 330x330 gravel grid filled with 10mm black stone……

                    I did something like that (but much less elegant!). As I was fairly short of funds I put the square slabs down the centre rotated 45 degrees, but with no gravel gap so I could run the barrow. It works very well even with cheap builders 10mm chippings.
