Getting parts has been surprisingly easy. My Mustang will be 25 years old in early 2025.

Now I'm moaning about the weather guessers. If they could just get the precip right. We were promised rain rain rain. No. We got spit spit nothing. Arghhhh!

Ruby is 28 going on 29 - parts are plentiful and surprisingly not expensive. I am about to embark on replacing the clock module and all of the dashboard illumination - total cost, less than £40. Lemonade money for what it is.

I did explain that @KT53 , and my daughter isn't stupid, but it pays to be aware about these things. I've since read some quite damning reviews of that garage, in a similar vein, so we'll take a view on it if anything else needs done. It's not as if she drives thousands of miles on a regular basis, so there's very little wear and tear on the car anyway.

Just read your post @hailbopp . I'm not surprised at that. I did my will recently, due to my daughter moving out and us buying the flat etc, but the incompetence by one member of staff worried me. She hadn't correctly written out/printed off the copies of all the details of the process. Just as well I was there and a senior member checked it. It would have changed things quite noticeably.

I agree It is important to at least attempt to understand legal documents as lawyers/ solicitors are not by any means infallible! A trust written by a relatives many years ago was incorrect and the errors meant death duties were taken 7 times instead of once! Before my time, I only remember my father saying by the time he got anything left from the trust it might pay for a “ fish supper”. A portion of fish and chips to those who live south of The Border!
I had first hand experience of a huge error by my then solicitors who were the biggest firm in Edinburgh. We were buying a semi derelict coach house to renovate which was part of an estate so new title deeds needed to be written with all the necessary wayleaves, burdens etc.
The night before we were due to exchange contracts I re read the deed. To my horror there was no clause allowing us access either vehicular or otherwise over a private road to access the building. The only way to get into the building would have been to pole vault over it and my surname is not Bubka( the then world record holder!). In a huge panic I phoned the solicitors the next morning who somewhat poo pooed my saying the title deeds were inadequate …….. about an hour later I got a phone call to say the exchange of contracts and payment for the property had been “ delayed”. We never received a bill for the conveyancing, funny that :rolleyespink:.

It's no wonder there's that joke about 'what do you call 100 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?' @hailbopp .
It's very difficult for an 'average' person to understand every detail of these things too, even if you're reasonably intelligent.

Re the 'fish supper' - at the rate they're increasing round here, you'd be lucky to get half a dozen chips' worth with the proceeds! :heehee:

Thousands of women and children in Gaza, and who knows how many in the occupied West Bank, get shot and blown up and the UN wrings its hands in sympathy. One American woman gets shot in the occupied West Bank and the UN rings the President of the USA. Huh?

Vampires won't attack lawyers. Due to professional courtesy..

I might need a new will. Mine has bequests for things I no longer have or would be misplaced because individual needs have changed over the years.

When we had our first Wills prepared we used a Will writing company. Everything seemed OK when they collected the information. When the Wills were delivered I did read them carefully and all still seemed OK until I noticed they had put themselves down as Executors, not the people we had nominated. That got changed very quickly but what if it hadn't been noticed?
