Mine was flowering well, but the recent strong winds mostly wiped out all the flowers, I find it a very brittle plant that needs support.

My sinningia had one flush a couple of months ago, and that's it. Even though it's been in the greenhouse. We have had such poor weather with little sunshine.

I put mine out in early June, hope being it would grow stronger and less likely to be damaged by the weather, but the near gale force winds of a week or so ago did a fair bit of damage as I hadn't put any sticks around them in the pots.
The recent rain has kind of finished to job, pity really as there was lots of flower stems and buds forming.

My Calliandra has started to flower but again its been mostly destroyed by the rain now, got this picture before it got too bad.

The Caesalpinia has lots of flower stems and buds but its very late, another plant that hates the rain.

I think the calliandra looks stunning! You gave me seed of the caesalpinia but unfortunately the one plant I managed succumbed. Though with the weather here it's not surprising. I'm thinking of starting a rice paddy...

If my Caesalpinia sets seed (it's only just started flowering here, too) I'll add it to the list of things to send @CarolineL :)

Thanks @noisette47 - as usual you're very kind. However I don't think it's worth me trying. I had forgotten how damp it is here, and I struggle with plants that seemed fine in Nottinghamshire

Tell me about 'damp' After the wettest, coldest spring we've ever known here, it's suddenly become autumn a full month early! I'll see how the pods develop...if there's no viable seed in them, it's a moot point :)

And it looks like its going to get cold now, even down your way.

The year I collected all my seed was 2018, the year my old plant gave up the ghost, it flowered in June that year.

'Get cold'?? It is ***** cold! :roflol: The only consolation (apart from no watering) is that the wasps and hornets have had possibly the shortest season ever.

I've got a H. gardnerianum just coming out.
Not seen the pink one before.

Got it from a UK nursery specialising in Hedychiums many years ago but it never flowered in a pot in UK. Pretty reliable in the ground here :)

I've grown that one for years, its aways flowered reasonably well for me both in pots and in the ground and its earlier than some I've tried and given up on.

Edit, sorry just realised you might be referring to the pink one.
