What's Looking Good September

    I know what you mean about plant stashes @Perki - I really have to stop taking cuttings and collecting seed. I have nowhere to put the plants if/when they grow!
    Looking good though. :)
    It's always a pain when you realise you should have put a support in earlier. It's very windy here on a regular basis, especially into autumn, and many of the plants I grow get badly damaged if I'm not really vigilant. I put some little supports into some of my potted dahlias yesterday, as they're particularly vulnerable to wind damage with those soft, fleshy stems. Sw. peas too - they regularly get tied in. I can't rely on any climber reliably twining itself, and even some of the clematis that are tied in well, get broken.

      Looking great @Perki - but why bother with a lawn? Now you've got more transport, you'll need even more space for the plant stash :biggrin:

              @NigelJ I can't find any links to your Elliottia online, only to E. Bracteata which looks very different.
              Has it changed name?

              Good point, no I don't think it's changed name; but the entry in Trees and Shrubs online is not what I've got. I'll have a look and see if there's a label anywhere near it, but after nine years I doubt it.
              The person I bought it from could be a bit off with names and was dyslexic, I've even been through one of his old plant lists and it's not there. I do know it was bought 30-08-2015.
              I now have an unknown shrub which flowers nicely in late summer with a mass of white flowers that are nicely scented.
              If I find a label or come across another record some where I'll post here; so thank you for flagging the problem.
              Well I've had a look in my "garden diary" and it's in there as being bought at a RHS Rosemoor plant sale.
              So I have not the faintest, guesses would be much appreciated.

                  @NigelJ can you get closeups of the flowers and foliage please to help identify? I looked it up because I'm always searching for good scented plants, and I fancied getting one!

                    Tripetaliea, Cladothamnus, Botryostege...it's had lots of names :biggrin: Before we all get too excited, though, it's an ericaceous plant. Don't know if that makes a difference @CarolineL?
