Lovely sunny day yesterday. Raining steadily this morning.

 

More heavy rain, road starting to flood

 

Steady rain here but it is forecast to ramp up, with thunder later. Same tomorrow.

Looking at the sunrise and sunset times for the next month, I hadn’t fully appreciated that although its equinox today, the day/s where there is almost exactly 12 hours of day (ie. post sunrise) and 12 of night (post sunset) is actually midweek here.

 

I had a look at timeanddate and found that the 12/12 hour equals are actually happen on coming Tuesday to Wednesday.

 

We have a heavy rain warning for two days. Permanent monsoon and northerly wind, although it is mild. Rest of the week is dodgy too.

 

Cornwall
Saturday. Fine all day after a brief shower around 9.00am. In Newquay there was a huge passing storm am. Hail, torrential rain, thunder and lightning. Missed us by about 20 miles.
Sunday. Intermittent passing heavy rain. Grey, overcast, mild.

 

It did come dry late afternoon yesterday so quickly potted on a nice Carex and OH made up a small hanging basket with 6 pansys so did something at least . Today it’s a no no outside the heavens are open as they say . Did just notice a blackbird checking out the berries on our cotoneaster sprawling over a small outhouse, they are back !

 

Overcast and 12 degrees, quite chilly picking Raspberries to have with the cereals this morning.

 

It's still raining on and off with a gentle breeze from the east north east temp 16c feels like 17c

 

It tipped it down all day.

Now there is an amber weather warning for 15 hours tomorrow starting at 5am. Can't believe it can be worse than today. At least it is mild.

I heard the owl briefly and now the daddy long legs are tapping at the window - a product of the wet weather perhaps.
