The neigbour was kept in hospital overnight due to age and shock, collected from hospital this afternoon, 28 stitches and arm in Plaster
Poor wee schnauzer dog multiple bites stitches and broken ribs but alive

I can not understand how with video proof the dogs were not muzzled when the attack took place, how when the Police arrived the dogs had muzzles on and were let to walk home ?

It's fairly obvious that the dogs were not wearing muzzles during the attack.

Are the police not making further investigations.

28 stitches is a significant level of injury. The police can't ignore it, surely?

It'll be the same principle as domestic abuse. Once the perpetrator isn't in your house, or within sight, they've gone and are no longer a threat to you, so it's all fine and dandy.
'We've arrived and they're muzzled so off you all toddle - no problem there now '
        Aye right....

What is the law on these XL bully dogs in Scotland? In England and Wales the law is as follows:

        Ban on XL Bully dogs

        Do you have similar?

I think from earlier this year they had to be muzzled and on a lead in public @cactus_girl .

Perhaps they could extend that to every dog, then I wouldn't have to keep avoiding all the out of control, loose dogs I encounter on a regular basis. The owners are unbelievable nowadays with their attitude and lack of respect for anyone else.
Their pets don't pay the taxes that provide pavement repair and maintenance, so why am I the one having to walk on the road while they're spread right across them, and never move them out of the way.

No doubt the police wanted to move on quickly to more important things like catching you doing 43 mph in a 40 mph zone. Presuming this awful incidence was in Glenrothes where police and their “ hairdryers “ are in abundance:rolleyespink:. I do hope your neighbour and wee dog recover but likely they will both be traumatised for a considerable time.

There are quite a few dogs that can be mistaken for XL bullies, which, as I said earlier, the idiots that make the laws dont know what constitutes an XL.

Just ban them and make people register them and make them wear muzzles in public.:dunno:

I've seen at least two dogs this morning that could be mistaken for being an XL, but as far as I know neither were.

                  Here's an idea:
Why don't they means test MPs' and Lord's allowances and perks?
I'm sure there are some MPs that need the allowances but there are many who don't.

Excellent idea! If only we had the power to make them do something they don't want to. ;)

Thought I’d look into that but you can’t create a petition just now as they’ve “temporarily” stopped them. Fancy that.

Even if 10 million of us signed a petition, all they would do is have a debate ... and decide they are quite happy with the present system, thank you. :th scifD36:
