Evening everyone. Shattered tonight as had my course presentation today. That’s me homework free for a bit again now!

My heart goes out to you @Ladybird4 as I’m sure you are feeling worried. I hope he comes back this evening so you can relax.

I hope everyone is ok. Take care all and enjoy any sunshine that we have as these nights are really drawing in now.

I know just how you feel @Ladybird4 and hope he comes home safe and well. Fingers and toes crossed.

It's not all wonderful @lizzie27. Rural France has shortages of GPs and dentists and physios and there can be waits to see specialists. EG 6 months or more to get an appointment for an opthalmologist, skin doctor, rhumatologist... but it is all joined up and the left hand seems to know what the right is doing.

Enjoy your "hols" @Liriodendron. I get loads done around the house or garden when my OH disappears for a few days. Last time tho he did askif everything could be in the same place when he got back.

I hope your presentation was well received @AuntyRach and that your boiler is now fixed @Busy-Lizzie.

Thank you @Obelix-Vendée, about Mon Espace Santé. I haven't done it yet though.

I'm so sorry about Cricket @Ladybird4. I hope he turns up in the morning. What a worry.

Boiler is working, needed a spare part :hapydancsmil:

The cable is laid and ready for fibre when they come to connect it on Monday. They will have to drill a hole through the wall of the house. I only had to dig up a Brunnera, it's in a pot and will be re-planted. It had made four new plants so I've planted them elsewhere.

A very good morning @Tui34 and all arriving later. After a very fretful day and night, I woke up at 00:25 and Cricket was asleep on his blanket near my bed. I was so relieved and happy but did not get too much sleep after that! He doesn't look any the worse for wear today after his adventure - probably can't say that about myself! Anyway stress now relieved. Going out for lunch today with the First Fridayers and I'm looking forward to that.

Pleased that the boiler problem was comparatively simple to sort @Busy-Lizzie.
Well done on your presentation @AuntyRach. Enjoy being homework free!

@AuntyRach, I did ask him but all I got was 'No Comment.' He's had his breakfast and gone back to bed.

                  Morning all.

I'm glad Cricket is back home. I wonder if he met a girl cat, but then he's neutered. My daughter had a male castrated horse once who fell in love with an elderly rescue mare I had, an ex racehorse. The mare was in a sorry state when I took her on but when she improved it was obvious that she had once been very beautiful.

                  It's sunny outside.

OH's step daughter is coming for the w/e with her OH and 2 children, boy and girl. I must buy some more food and finish the children's bedroom. I hope the weather is sunny tomorrow as we are going to Southwold with them tomorrow. They love sea swimming, even when it's cold. They do the Boxing Day swim in Eastbourne the children swim in Triathlons.

I must buy some more food and finsh preparing the children's bedroom.

What a lovely story about the horses @Busy-Lizzie. Goodness but I had a shiver when I read about the family swimming in the sea. I've never tried it myself and I know a lot of people love it and swear it is good for their well being but I would be happy just dipping my toes in.

                      Hi Lizzie,
I would have taken a plastic saucer but didn't see one big enough. The pot my bargain bush of sage is very large.
Didn't do anything yesterday, had horrendous back ache and aching joints. I thought I might be hatching a lergy but I seem to be OK this morning.

Glad Cricket is home @Ladybird4 Our cat, Big Joe, used to pop off at this time of year, although castrated. He just liked the atmosphere of it all, I think!!

Also glad the boiler is okay and it's not a big job @Busy-Lizzie We seem to have our hand in our pockets so much these day. Our Taxe Foncières (Ground rates) have come around and they have shot through the roof!!! Then it's insurances, then Christmas ..... golly!!

What a wonderfully atmospheric picture that is @RowlandsCastle. Loving the bird perched on the aerial. Is this one of your 'stop offs' on the way to Edinburgh? Thanks for sharing it. When I rang handy brother to tell him about Cricket I was aware that my voice sounded unnaturally hoarse. It will be just typical if I come down with a cold as I'm going for my flu jab tomorrow!
