As I left mine out all winter, it is only just a couple of inches high.

Mine are from a GC member who sent me a very good selection, these two appear to be the most compact I'm finding.

My achimenes pots didn't get good places this year, overcrowded and leggy, didn't pinch tops at the early stage. Still flowering well. Plus gloxinia and some avs. Total chaos:

They are stunning, such wonderful bright colours.

My one is in the right hand edge of this pot with Oxalis triagularis purpurea (you can just see it coming up). Last year it bloomed in November!

On the other side is Brunfelsia pauciflora, yet to bloom.

It's Fishbone cactus (Epiphyllum Angulier) time again! :)

The plant was a tad unhappy with the house move and dropped the fist buds, but chucked out 12 new ones for us to enjoy one after another.

The buds start to swell in the morning but open after dark and wilt down by the next morning. It's so fascinating to watch them to start opening and smell them releasing their strong, vanilla- citrusy scent.

Looks amazing. I have never seen the flowers before. Did you have to wait years for it to start flowering?
