It’s been quite a sunny day with the odd drizzly shower. 14c. Wish I’d done some washing:smile:

It was a full lights and wipers situation driving home but the heavy rains n bursts are on and off.

Thoughts to anyone facing the hurricane around Florida. I can’t quite imagine a storm with winds of 150mph plus!?! What a scary prospect.

Had a few light showers and a few sunny spells, never going to dry up now for the next 7 months I doubt, mud, mud and more mud.
        Touched 18c for a while.

Wet, wet, wet now but not too blowy. Had to get a farmer neighbour's BIL to come and tow a lorry out of the mud after he came to deliver a load of chipped tree and bark and then cut down or clean up dead and sick trees. He had to come back in his ow tractor with a trailer and crane for lifting trunks and big branches.

Good job we're not precious about our grass! At least the rain may wash away some of the mud trails.

After the deluge yesterday it's much the same here soil-wise. Although it's frustrating when it's soggy, I try to stay positive and thank the PTB that I don't have to water and that the plants aren't suffering :spinning:

Flooding  being that i cleaned my ditchies and drains i only have to now keep them clear as farmers have been out with thier hedge trimmers and the bits are blocking up the pipes and ditchies so it easy  just heard that there is big flood near by and they are out with diggers to get some ditchies dug quickly to get rid of the water  the ground is so wet with 13 inchies of water on top so the digger will be make a right mess on the soil

I've just been out to check the ditchies and pipes outside to make sure they are runing which they are so another check later before bed time to makes sure it's ok

Another murky, damp start here. O'night low of 9 degrees [9 just now at approx. 7.45 am] with a predicted high of about 10 or 11 with some strong winds developing. The wind direction means we're not really to get any rain today, so the east side is getting that instead. We tend to get a lot of light, smirry stuff rather than being totally dry though, which doesn't register much in the gauge. We're often in low cloud.

Yesterday was a damp, smirry, breezy one too, but not particularly wet. The high was 12 degrees.

Yesterday was sunny with occasional cloud and ten minutes of rain. It's quite dull out and just a little bit of drizzle forecast.

Yesterday as we travelled 5 milesdown the Valley guess what it was fine long enough for all us volunteers to get on with Autumn jobs around the Walled Garden, even made up small ceramic pots with supervivums in ready for the Christmas craft fair . Beautiful sunny morning , blue sky and a cuppa on the go .
