        A pal in Finland tells me the big Thrushes are now migrating south, so expect Redwings, Fieldfares and maybe Waxwings in the next few days.

          Perhaps where you live @burnie , but I doubt they will get this far south just yet, if at all this winter.... Fieldfares maybe.

            Nice wee restaurant for them there @shiney :smile:
            We rarely get waxwings over on this side - they don't usually come too far west, although I remember getting photos of a small flock on a nearby tree when my older daughter was a year old - it was a particularly brisk winter that year! We get lots of fieldfares and redwings though, and they sometimes come in the garden, depending on the availability of other food for them. Regular flocks of them in the neighbouring fields as the winter comes in.

                Lovely pic @burnie. Mine was similar, but I can't display it as it was pre digital camera, and a proper printed pic! :biggrin:
                Daughter turned 30 earlier this year, so it would have been about 29 years ago.

                  A Redwing in Aberdeenshire the year before, we do get these in the garden usually
