Rather jolly for mid-October. 25C / 16C and sunny with clear blue skies. It felt rather warmer down by the pool, sheltered from the SE breeze :spinning:

Had a run up to the garden centre in Stonehaven, cannot believe how much Xmas stuff is up for sale already for goodness sake. A pleasant afternoon in the balmy 9 degrees, looks to be clouding over now, which hopefully will keep the temperatures in the positive.

It was a bit cold out there at 9c for most of the day, so I layered up with 2 T-shirts, a fleece and a gilet. When the sun came out for about a minute it was nice. But got a lot of outdoor jobs done.

Heavy rain tonight, but it will be dry tomorrow.

Yesterday seemed like a wet day but it was mostly short showers. There was only 4mm rain in the gauge. Today's been cool but dry with a few glimmers of sunshine.

Breezing cold. Hot. Cold. Hot. Cold. Hot.

The weather just now is challenging sensible clothing, you leave the house for a walk and shiver in the cold in spite of gloves, scarf and fleece lined coat and five minutes later the sun comes out and the gloves etc go into the pockets and sweat trickles down the neck.

A schoolboy who takes the same bus as I still wears shorts, but now has relented to carrying a jacket.

You could easily believe that it's still summer, but with damp soil :) Could just be my memory playing up, though. When we first moved here, we revelled in being able to eat outside through October. November is when it all goes to pot :roflol:

What’s worse than rain..? Cold and rain. The rain should slow now, but the heavy cloud cover is set to stay today.

The forecast isn’t great this week, but at least it will be a bit warmer midweek.
