Trying to decide where to put it. How much could I expect it to grow in a year? Instructions gives height after 10 years. Do I just divide by 10?

Dont really know but what it suggests after 10 yrs does give you some idea if its slow growing.

According to the RHS it's slow growing with an ultimate 1.5m x 1.5m height and spread, if that helps re positioning.

Yes, I saw that but I wondered whether it's likely to do an initial spurt and then take it easy or grow about the same amount each year. @AnniD

It’s slow growing @BB3, mine hardly did anything in its first year. It looks better in a container when young to give it a bit of height and allow the “cords” to cascade.

I was thinking of putting it in a container.
Next door has removed ivy and put up a fence. I find my garden is three foot wider. Good thing but the stuff in the middle bid the bed needs to be at the back. A long planting opportunity but nothing I have knocking about in containers is suitable.
I think I'm going to have to be ruthless next year. Also, God forbid, I might have to do some planning :yikes:
