What a glorious day weather wise.

Poor Rob had to stay at he vets for 3 hours. He was very wobbly and woozy when I picked him up as the anaesthetic hadn't fully worn off. Now we have to wait for the blood test results to come back. He looks a bit like the mask from The Phantom of the Opera as they have shaved one side of his face to clean him up.
There were lots of chicken feathers around my garden when I went out and I saw a rather tatty hen squatting on the grass looking very bedraggled. Hopefully it has learnt its lesson. There were no chickens parading along the top of the wall this morning so fingers cross

I am not impressed with the GP I saw on Tues. After some discussion we agreed I would have some physio., whilst waiting for an ultra sound appointment to come through. She gave me a form to fill in and the option of taking it back to the surgery where they would send it to a physio., of their choice or I could take the form in to my choice of physio. I decided to bring the form home, filled it in and after dropping Rob off, took it to a physio clinic I had used before.
However, they couldn't give me an appointment because there was a page missing which they need if I am being treated through the NHS. They phoned my surgery to ask if they had the missing page but there is nothing on my record showing the Dr. had requested physio., Now I have to wait until the surgery have checked with the Dr. and if she agrees, send the required info. to the physio., before they can contact me to make an appointment.
It seems nothing is straightforward these days.

            Good Morning folks.

After a quiet, chill day yesterday I have a few errands and jobs today.

Enjoy Friday everyone - whatever the day brings.

Thanks for sharing @Busy-Lizzie. It sounds very tempting! I hope there are plenty of interesting people on board.
Not much planned here, but I do have the chiropodist at midday. Must finish clearing the greenhouse after that, as we have strong winds and rain due this weekend.
Going to do beef casserole with celeriac mash this evening.
ETA, what a PITA @Goldenlily26. Fingers crossed for Rob

                Good morning everyone.

Love the photos @Busy-Lizzie and hope you get time to visit some of those places.

What's wrong with writing a simple prescription for physio @Goldenlily26 ? That's what happens here. Hope Rob is OK today.

Lemony roast potatoes for us this evening @Penny_Forthem - not mash @Ladybird4 - using a recipe I saw on Saturday Kitchen with fish baked in a tomato base and using the last of our "new" potatoes I'll dig up today.

I'll also be digging up all the floury potatoes so OH can clear the weeds out afterwards and bung on some compost ready for other veg. It's set to be dry and mid to high teens today so perfick for gardening. Tomorrow is set to be wet so I'll be sewing.

I've been expecting tail ends of hurricanes but the forecast is for mild weather and light winds for the next week or so. Fine by me. Lots to do outside.

                Enjoy your day everyone.

A not-so gentle muddy walk in Dalkeith Country Park this morning, with lunch out, before heading back to our apartment to pack, ready to leave tomorrow.

I posted this after lunch with some photos but it didn't arrive so here it is again. Not sure about the photos, poor signal.

                    Thank you everyone.

We went to the biggest cathedral in Hungary this morning, 3rd biggest in Europe after the Vatican and St. Paul's in London. Our lovely guide told us a lot of the history of Hungary. I don't know how she remembered it all!

Just had lunch, starter salads and dessert. There were main courses but we'll leave that for tonight.

Sailing on up the Danube now.

Good afternoon everyone. Poor little Rob @Goldenlily26. He (and you I suspect) will be happy he is at home. How long will you have to wait for his results? At least the cheeky chook seems to have survived his attention. It seems that your Doc is about as efficient as mine is.
You have had a lovely time I'm sure @RowlandsCastle, judging by your wonderful pictures and your last one is starting to show the beautiful Autumn colours on the trees.
More super pictures from you too @Busy-Lizzie. The cathedral is a glorious building but a sign of our modern times is the scaffolding around one of its towers. These buildings deserve to be treasured. It looks as though you are having nice weather too.

Yes. Going to North Yorkshire tomorrow, via Jedburgh, Hexham (or Corbridge), Ripley and Pateley Bridge. Staying a couple of nights, then home to north-east Kent, stopping at undecided places.
Got to be back in time for a hospital appointment in London on 24th.
