Having set up wills with a proper solicitor for that matter, and speaking out of experience, it takes time to get the will right and the payment follows after the will was made.

You can get a will done free of charge by a solicitor during Free Wills Month (usually two months a year with October being one of them). Or by some charities that will have them done for you for nothing as long as you leave something in your will for them.

I used a solicitor, during Free Wills Month, in a town near me for one of the disabled people I look after. They do it free as long as it isn't complicated. If you aren't on benefits they usually ask you for a small donation to the charities involved in the scheme. They didn't ask him for one but when I asked about it they suggested up to £75.

There are other ways to get one done.

That one at Morrisons sounds like a con. I would have gone straight back in and asked for the manager :old: - but I'm a devout GOM (Grumpy Old Man). :heehee:

I did my will earlier this year, having never got round to it before. Daughter was moving, and I was lending her money, so we did the whole thing at one go. It wasn't expensive. I think that sounds very dodgy re the Morrisons thing. I'd have made enquiries to the manager, or similar, too @pete. I expect some poor sap will get fleeced with that.
Know what you mean about motorway hoggers, although even on standard roads, it's the same. I used to work with someone who freely admitted to driving in the middle lane. She couldn't understand at all why we all got annoyed with her about it after we carefully explained why you don't do it.
I can understand how you feel @Loofah. I expect many people feel that way. I couldn't leave Scotland, although I'd like to be further north than I am.

Yes thanks its just one of those things I never seem to get round to.

I've since checked them out on their website and they appear to be a genuine leagal company.
To be honest that was all I wanted a chance to do but he was insistent I paid there and then via link he sent to my phone.
Telling me if I didn't pay at that point it would cost me double.

Yes indeed, breaking it to the OH as you step off the boat that's it's not a holiday but permanent is a little risky.

@pete I would be suspicious too. It almost seems that he used the reputable company's name to sound legitimate and scam you. Who knows where that money would have gone if you'd been a big dummy!

Nope. I don't skip back and forth between lanes but do try to move back to the inside lane when it seems reasonable to do so.

Heard a lady on the radio today who lost her first husband circa 30+ years of age to cancer, her oldest daughter later to the same cancer, had/has breast cancer herself, divorced from second husband and has been homeless twice – and we moan about what?

I did drive in the middle lane for a lot of the motorway sections of my very tedious journey home yesterday (and in the outside lane on most of the 2-lane parts) but that's because it was so busy that all 3 (or 4, or 2) lanes were pretty much full, and all trundling along at pretty much the same (not very fast) speed. No big enough gaps in the inside lane to pull into between the lorries, and in any case in that situation any vehicle changing lanes causes the traffic behind to have to slow down and that ripples back. Everything moves more smoothly if people stay in the same lane when it's chockablock busy like that. Best to stay put until you need to change lanes, ie when you get within a few miles of the junction that you want to leave at, but don't leave it to the last minute and then try to go from lane 3 or 4 to lane 1 :wallbanging:. And don't keep swapping lanes just because you think another one is moving faster than the one you're in. It's not. I amused myself by making a mental note of the more distinctive vehicles in the other lanes (signwritten vans, fancy sports car and so on) and noting how long it took before I caught up after they passed me.

It was OH I have to say. I wouldn’t have been able to sit that long. I had walks in between and made it to 5 km! Bought for £5 a book at a charity shop about British Watercolours 1750-1880, 3 coffees (1 for the poor EE chap who was marvellous sorting it out), a rose soap handmade, and a jacket made in Ecuador on the nearby market in Cirencester.
Once the EE stuff done, we set in sunshine with a gyros and a coffee.
Because EE belongs to BT, we are with BT until they set up the fibre connection and will switch back to EE. And this with EE (Orange back then) for 20 years.

                          Totally agree @JennyJB
You can hear me talking while driving when ever someone jumps to the first lane even it’s clearly visible that the car in front of him is too slow and he jumps back to lane 2 just 5 seconds later.
