Plant shop-bought garlic

    The garlic in the shop now is from spain. I sprouted a bunch in water changing it s few times and planted yesterday. Not sure if that helps or not, I guess viruses would be totally unaffected.
    Last year my garlic and onions got eaten by fly larvae and died so maybe I need to cover it or something. Ill try interplanting coriander and see if that helps.

    The commercial implication of a diseased crop when growing for human consumption likely exceed that for stocking a garden centre IMO. Therefore, given that its passed by APHA on import, I am happy to continue to grow thus sourced.
