That is excellent news Pete. Where have you kept her over Winter? Has she lived outside in the rain since?

It was fairly dry over winter in a pretty cold greenhouse, just frost free.
Been outside for about 3 months now.

It is fresh and jealthy looking. Mine is always dusty dirty from being near a dirt track and being under the Callistemons.. Be nice to have some rain to wash it off.

Quite jealous looking at all the lovely healthy specimens. No new growth on mine so far this year. Had it 30 odd years or more . Stays outside but fleeced over winter. Got 1 offset which I'm hoping will take off.

Perhaps yours could have a quiet word with mine @Victoria - no sign of life on my old one but still keeping fingers crossed for the 2 offsets.

I could suggest a lot of sun and heat, but ... ;)

Oh if only - it loved it's years in France and Spain and was actually reasonably happy until this year.

I actually grew this from a seed in the mid 1980's so it's about 40 years old now. This is the first year that it has no sign of new growth.
Due to it's size and weight, it lives outdoors in a sheltered spot and is fleeced and then protected by an old shower curtain.
I haven't totally given upon it but it is rather annoying.

Is it still showing some green, they have a habit of sulking, often for a year or two if they have been unhappy.

No green but I don't really expect it to produce new fronds until next year. The reason I've not given up hope just yet is that the centre of the trunk appears to still be alive.
Yes they do sulk - I moved mine a couple of years ago because it didn't thrive in the spot I'd chosen. It doesn't go in the ground ( I move house too often ) but always been in pots/tubs .
