OH didn't cough so much in the night, seems a bit better - but I have caught his cold.

 

Good morning @Busy-Lizzie. You now have a valid reason to just take things easy for a while.

 

I have had to cancel my Covid vaccination this afternoon as the cough I have had since getting the flu one, whilst not making me feel poorly, is a bit debillitating and I don't want to be coughing all over other people waiting for their vaccinations. A bit of a nuisance but I can make another appointment once I shake this off. I am getting another freezer on Wednesday - an under counter one as they are called though I will be using it free standing - so I will spend today clearing a way for it to be moved in.

It's grey here but mild and should stay dry. Patch club this pm but first I have to try and sort out a problem with the club secretary who has been mithering with physical and mental problems for a couple of years and has just now decided to curl up in a ball till the New Year. She's been away on a "cure" of massages and therapies for 3 weeks so that clearly went well.

How to deal with someone who won't take standard medical advice or meds, psychological help or counselling or friendly support and advice? Frustrating! Any ideas welcome.

Hope the healing is going well @redstar and everyone else post-op and doing physio.

Pity about your Covid jab @Ladybird4. I called the local nurses' office to ask when ours would be scheduled and she said we'd be informed - after the school hols! Two weeks of those here and a week to go still.

That's quite a problem @Obelix-Vendée , is there any way the Committee can remove her?

Good luck with your recovery anybody else who's suffering at the moment.

Not sure what I'll do today, might depend on whether or not it's dry outside.

That is a rather tricky situation with the secretary @Obelix-Vendée. Do you have an official Deputy Secretary? If so it might be possible to suggest to the unfortunate lady that in the interests of the club and its smooth running it may be a good idea for her to stand down and let the Deputy - or another member take on the task, pro temp., until she feels better.

I'm feeling pretty rough and sorry for myself. Nose blocked but running, eyes are stinging, head feels too big. Sneezing and coughing, fairly disgusting really, but not as disgusting as last week when I had Norovirus on the river cruise. Sometimes the human body is not a beautiful thing!
