What's your Weather Like October 2024

Good morning all, cloud and sun with a high of 15c.

 

When the weather is grey and cloudy and has no features we call it living under a Tupperware box. It's a standard term here. Haven't seen one lately. It is usually seen with a cloudy high pressure system that goes on for days on end.

 

No Tupperware box today. It's sunny with some fluffy clouds, contrary to the forecast yesterday. Nicely warm and dry.

 

13c bright but cloudy and has a warm feel

 

Yesterday stayed fine until late afternoon then a bit of drizzly dampness, not really proper rain. Same this morning but it's dried up now and is just grey and still - what I call non-weather - neither warm nor cool, no wind, sun or rain.
The forecast is showing sunny intervals from late morning to midafternoon - we'll see.

 

It's a sweaty 16 degrees here in the Costa del Montrose, I just know we are going to pay for this, I'm usually looking for my crampons and polishing the snow shoes this time of year, no sign of Polar Bears yet either!!

 

Its not rained but its not dried up either.
14c and a few bright spells, but mostly dark and dead calm.

 

Had back door open lunchtime and sat outside to eat lunch in sunshine for an hour.

It was warm over the day. A bit damp this morning. Turned on the heating for a few minutes this morning. Partly sunshine before lunchtime and then clouds came in. Feels now colder outside. I can smell outside that others have turned on their fireplaces.
12 c currently, goes down to 8c. A High is lurking around.
I can’t complain. A love such weather which is changing all the time.

 

Mostly cloudy all day but very mild for the time of year, temp was 14c. Now it's partly cloudy with a gentle breeze from the north temp 11c feels like 11c

Looks like November starts very sunny. Oh dear. A very strong NAO in November 2020 brought the subnormal cold Spring 2021. Let's hope history doesn't repeat itself

 

La météo agricole This is quite unusual for the beginning of November. That's when things usually turn nasty. There have been very few flights of Cranes going over, flying south for the winter. That's a far more reliable indication of what's to come than any meteo prediction.
