I have not seen any mention on the site this year, about tomato seed swaps between GC members.

I like to grow a wide variety of the best-tasting, best-producing or ‘rare’ tomato varieties.

If anyone is interested in taking part, then I’m interested in a few varieties that you just might have.

It’s my first year of doing this, so I have only a few seeds of these varieties available. I would swap in units of 5 seeds. All are 2023 or 2024 seeds and most have been isolated from cross-fertilisation.

    Azoychia
    Carbon
    Purple Dog Creek
    Datterino
    Golden Sunrise
    Indigo Blue Beauty
    Indigo Cherry Drops
    Omar’s Lebanese
    Piccolo
    Purple Cherokee

I am interested in trying any of these varieties.

    Lucky Cross
    Nepal
    Cherokee Green
    Bing
    Snake Bite
    Dwarf Blazing Beauty
    Dwarf Emerald Giant
    Dwarf Wherokowhai
    Lucid Gem
    Jade Beauty
    Rosada Revival
    Better Boy
    Lemon Boy Plus
    Stupice
    Lucid Gem
    Japanese Black Trifele

If anyone would like to swap any of these for my varieties, please PM me (conversations) and we’ll work something out.

Finally, I’m open to offers of any other unusual or rare varieties you might have and want to exchange. So, suggest away.

    Fred Clarke

Thank you, Sherru. I have been away and am not ignoring you. Can I get back to you in a couple of days, please? I need to sort out all the admin that builds up.

Many thanks, Adam 1. I'll leave your message to see if there are any takers, as I'm pretty much only interested (have room for) salad stuff and tomatoes. I must say there seems little interest in swapping - even on a tomato site.

I am interested in sharing/swopping seeds but my greenhouse can only take 8 plants. Having found Pink Grapefruit, very happy with it., Surindas Indian Curry, again very happy with them, Cocktail Crush and Big Mama I am going to grow them again as I still have a few seed of each. I could not guarantee any of my seeds as true because I leave the window and door of the greenhouse open all summer and cannot be doing with bagging flowers etc. to keep them true to variety.

            Hello Goldenlilly26.

It seems like you have found a few favourites and that's a good thing. There is always the chance of a cross-fertilisation but that's really quite rare. Most tomatoes are self-fertile and don't need bagging - it's just an added precaution.

personally after this years awful blight im only interested in true blight resistant ones which are mostly F1, and nobody seems to have grown any inbred ones. I genuinely got about 20 tomatoes from 7 plants

i found: "Primabella, Primavera and Clou" from a german project but thats all.

That's understandable Adam. I think I did little better than you in many plants production. I generally prefer non-F1's but one of the very few acceptable ones this year, was Toddler F1. It was quite productive and had a very pleasant taste. I will be happy to grow that again but off-hand, I don't know it's blight resistance.
