Hibiscus rosa-sinensis

If you just want Hibiscus syriacus, (hardy), seed I could send you lots before next spring, H rosa sinensis is a different matter.

I haven't got any at the moment, as my plants are still flowering, seed doesn't ripen until the winter.
I have quite a lot of one year old seedlings that I could dig up for you if you prefer as that would give you a years head start on the seeds.

 

I am excited, never having even seen one of these plants before, my H mutabilis is opening buds ...


I put some artificial moss at the base to keep moisture in ...

 

Fist bud opened this morning, albeit sadly a single petal, but I am happy having taken a year to nuture this from a plug plant. Now I watch for colour change.

 

@PurpleStreaks and all who are interested. I heard from Adrienne on the link I gave above in Spain and she does send to the UK for the same postage. She packages very well.

 

A Yellow Orange bud, opening ... and bloom today ... (one of my favourites) ...

 

Another beauty followed me home today . A Double no-name as I have called it Pina after the GC where I bought it ...



There are lots of buds and 3/4 stems so I wonder if there is more than one colour.

I was surprised to see so many this time of year, five tables ...

 

I am right ... there are at least two colours in the pot ...



Will it be another Double? Are there more colours?

Having just been to Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife with our Grandson who plays Baseball took a few glorious Flower pics when walking thought I would show you

 

Question , my OH and I weren't sure of the variety of the Tree , thought an Indian Bean tree possibly and the Orange flowering shrub climbing over the wall of a Villa would anyone know please ? Thanks
